About the hunter region
The Hunter Valley is Australia’s oldest wine growing region.
Situated less than two hours from Sydney, the Region hosts more than four million visitors each year to enjoy wine tasting at the many cellar doors. Japanese visitors are a significant percentage of that number.
About the wines
The Hunter Region is famous for its two main varieties – Shiraz and Semillon described by wine experts: "Only the Hunter can make a medium bodied, distinctly earthy Shiraz and a dry Semillon of such quality, purity and integrity."
About the vineyards
All of the wineries featured in this website are recipients of major awards at recognised Wine Shows and experienced exporters to Japan and China. <MORE>
